Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account

Account Types

• Patient: Access to wellbeing tracking, assessments, and support features
• Doctor/Professional: Access to patient appointments and professional tools
• Volunteer: Access to Befriend Chat and community support features

For Patients

• Daily mood and wellbeing check-ins
• AI-powered weekly reports analyzing mood patterns
• 7-day mental health assessments (GAD-7, PHQ-9, PSS-10)
• AI-generated clinical insights from assessment data
• Appointment booking with healthcare professionals
• Befriend Chat with trained volunteers
• Goal tracking and progress monitoring

Explicit Consent Required

By using HiKind, you provide explicit consent for us to:

• Collect and process your health data (mood, assessments, journal entries)
• Send your data to AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) for analysis as described in Section 3
• Store your data securely on our servers (Supabase EU region)
• Generate insights and reports based on your data

Your Rights

You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account. See our Privacy Policy for details on your data rights under UK GDPR.

For Doctors & Healthcare Professionals

• You must hold valid professional qualifications and licenses
• You are responsible for verifying patient information before appointments
• You must maintain professional standards and ethical guidelines
• You are responsible for your own professional liability insurance
• HiKind is a platform only; we do not provide medical services

For Volunteers

• You must complete required training before accessing Befriend Chat
• You must maintain confidentiality of all user interactions
• You must not provide medical advice or diagnosis
• You must report any safeguarding concerns immediately
• You must adhere to volunteer guidelines and code of conduct

Our Content

All content, features, and functionality of the Service (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software) are owned by HiKind and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service (check-ins, journal entries, assessments). By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to use, store, and process your content solely for providing the Service to you.

AI-Generated Content

AI-generated reports and insights are created specifically for you based on your data. You may use these for personal purposes, but you may not redistribute or commercialize them without permission.

Service "As Is"

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Medical Disclaimer

HiKind is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Our assessments are screening tools only. AI-generated insights are not medical advice. Always consult qualified healthcare professionals for medical decisions.

AI Disclaimer

AI-generated insights are based on patterns in your data and general knowledge from the AI models' training. They are not personalized medical advice and should not be used as the sole basis for health decisions. AI can make mistakes and may not capture the full context of your situation. Always discuss AI-generated insights with qualified healthcare professionals.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HiKind shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the Service
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein
• Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service
• Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the Service
• Any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of your use of any content

Your Right to Terminate

You may terminate your account at any time through the Privacy Settings page. Upon termination, all your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
