HiKind was born from a simple belief: every person with autism deserves accessible, understanding, and personalized support on their journey to wellbeing.
The journey to create HiKind started when we recognized a critical gap in autism support services across the UK. While the NHS provides essential diagnostic services, the waiting times can stretch from 18 months to several years. During this time, individuals and families are left without clear guidance or support.
We spoke with dozens of autistic individuals, families, healthcare professionals, and volunteers. The same themes emerged repeatedly: the need for better self-tracking tools, accessible professional support, safe community connections, and accurate pre-diagnostic assessments that could help speed up the pathway to diagnosis.
We realized that technology could bridge this gap—not to replace healthcare professionals, but to empower individuals with autism to better understand themselves and connect with the right support at the right time.
Everything we build is guided by these core principles
Our platform combines clinical expertise with lived experience. We work closely with NHS professionals, autism specialists, and most importantly, members of the autism community to ensure every feature is both clinically sound and truly helpful.
We offer professional-grade assessments, mood tracking, AI support, community connections, and sensory-friendly space discovery—all in one place. But we keep the interface clean, clear, and neurofriendly. No overwhelming menus or confusing navigation.
Your data is yours. We use industry-standard encryption, never share your information without explicit permission, and give you complete control over what you share and with whom. Our Befriend chat system doesn't require personal information, ensuring safe connections.
Whether you're seeking diagnosis, managing wellbeing, connecting with professionals, or finding community support, HiKind adapts to where you are in your journey. We're here for the long term—not just for a single assessment or appointment.
We're constantly improving HiKind based on feedback from our community. Our roadmap includes enhanced sensory tracking, integration with more healthcare providers, expanded volunteer training programs, and improved AI capabilities—all designed to better serve you.
Thank you for being part of our journey. Together, we're building a safer, more understanding space for the autism community.
